Raven Place Eggs 

Welcome to Raven Place, where we took pride in raising happy and healthy pasture-raised hens. However, we found it very hard to find a balance between pasture raised hens and foxes and have taken a step back in egg production to sell, and transitioned into growing our coloured egg laying heritage breeds. 

With our hens safety and the local fox gang being relentless, we again have made changes, they have transitioned from their mobile chicken caravans, into secure pens and we let them out and close them up for bed before dark. Our hens are secure yet still get to forage for insects and bugs around the farm daily.  

We take pride in our fermented food in the cafe and also ferment our kitchen scraps for our chickens and share the goodness with our egg supplier, Limpinwood Layers.  I would say, Limpinwood Layers are the most nutrient dense, healthy happy eggs in Australia.  Their hens and our eggs are known as 'power eggs' as the chickens love to eat Raven Place Kimchi too.
